French Florian Dovillez makes head pieces and customised accessories, mainly necklaces. We met him in London where he recently moved from Montreal and thought that, with the occasion of the launch of his fourth collection entitled La Religieuse it would be nice to get to know how a hair stylist ended up making such beautiful pieces!

MM.: How would you describe your personal aesthetics?

F.D.: I am obsessed with materials, different shapes and volumes. I always focus on intrinsic femininity, sensual qualities and charm. Everything I like and create has to do with these elements.

MM.: How did you decide to combine head pieces and accessories in your collection?

F.D.: I actually began making hair hats. One day playing with hair, I decided to make necklaces! I love combining them and I do love accessories!

MM. You have collaborated with A-list names in the fashion industry.

F.D. Yes!I am very proud to have collaborated with Vivienne Westwood, Armani, Iceberg, Kenzo, Fendi and more. I was also happy and honored to collaborate with designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in his latest performance in October, for which I created some special wigs!
